About Coco Auto Service
Coco Auto Service is an independent, full-service auto repair and tire shop at 2293 Carling Avenue in Ottawa's west end. We are not a chain and not a dealership. The same shop handles your oil change, your brakes, your diagnostics, and your engine work.
Most of what walks through the door is ordinary: a seasonal tire changeover, a service that is overdue, a noise that has started recently. Some of it is not. We are set up for both.
How we work
Diagnose first, then repair
Some jobs are obvious and some are not. When they are not, we find the cause before replacing anything. Guessing at parts is how people end up paying twice for a problem that is still there.
You see the estimate before we start
Ontario's Consumer Protection Act requires a written estimate and prohibits a shop from charging more than 10% above it without your consent. We would work this way regardless, but it is worth knowing you are entitled to it anywhere in the province.
We tell you what we found
Including the things that are not urgent yet. Knowing that a wear item has a season left in it is more useful than being surprised by it in February.
No work you did not agree to
If we find something else while the vehicle is up, we come back to you. Nothing beyond what you booked gets done without a conversation.
What we take on
A full-service shop in the literal sense: routine maintenance through to major mechanical work, across 25 makes.
Routine and seasonal
Oil changes, scheduled maintenance, fluid flushes, tune-ups, seasonal tire changeovers, and tire storage.
Diagnosis
Check engine lights, electrical faults, and the noises and symptoms that need finding before they can be fixed.
Wear and safety
Brakes, shocks and struts, steering and suspension: the parts Ottawa roads work hardest.
Major mechanical
Head gaskets, timing belts, cooling systems, clutches, transmissions, differentials, and engine replacement.
